Goals

DH’s Long Term Goal:
To be a vibrant Christian community that reaches out with God’s love
guided by faith in Christ through prayer.

Short Term Objectives (To be achieved in 2010):

- Educate to grow spiritually: Learning Theology
- Educate to know where we came from: Learning History
- Grow both Sunday Early (9 am) and Regular (10:30 am) worship in number
- Partner with other organizations to achieve our goals

Operational Goals for 2010:

Increase the number programs and services for different people to join

Increase opportunities of learning (special emphasis on toddlers and their parents)

Increase the number of groups discussing future

Increase the number of members who are involved in mission and outreach

Strengthen ministries that we are already doing well

How do we know we are going in the right direction? By asking the following questions;
How much money, time, and effort have we given out to those outside of our church? (Remember that we are not here to build a faith community for our own use but to be God’s instrument as Christ’s body to our neighbours.)

How many people spend their time caring and loving others (visiting the sick, the weak, the lonely, the homeless, prisoners)?

How do we grow and nurture the young within and without the church with Christ’s love?

How radical are we in our community in establishing God’s reign?

How do we act as Christ would have us do in all matters?
